No card needed. Then $2.99/month or $29/year for the whole family.

For the day you hope never comes

It starts with one terrible day. Then come the months of searching.

An accident. A diagnosis. A hospital stay, or worse. When the person who keeps everything running suddenly can't, the questions land on someone else, and they keep coming for months.

  1. Day 1

    The call.

Everything stops. Nobody is thinking about paperwork.

  2. Week 1

    Where is everything?

Is there a will? A healthcare power of attorney? Who's the insurance agent? Drawers, inboxes, old emails.

  3. Month 2

    The bills keep coming.

Autopays fail. Accounts get frozen. Every company wants paperwork, an account number, and a password nobody knows.

  4. Month 6

    Still finding things.

A retirement account nobody knew about. A policy that quietly lapsed. A phone no one can unlock.

With Life & Later

They open one page.

Who to call, in order. Where every original is kept. Which accounts pay which bills. What you'd want. Whatever happened, they won't have to search.

How it works

Ten minutes at a time.
Nap time counts.

1

Map your family

Add yourself, your spouse, the kids, the dog, the house, and the cars. Each one gets a checklist of the documents it should have.

2

Add things as you go

Type in the policy number, jot down the Wi-Fi password, and note where the original is kept. Add a photo or scan only if you want to. A readiness score shows what's left.

3

Leave a plan

List who to call first, write a letter of instruction in your own words, and name a trustee who can step in if you can't.

Built for real life, and for later

Everyday answers

Codes, colors, sizes, schedules, and routines, searchable from any phone the moment someone asks.

Expiration reminders

Passports, licenses, and policies show up before they lapse, not after.

Shared with your spouse

Both of you keep it up to date, and changes appear on each other's screens instantly.

The Later guide

One page for whoever steps in: who to call in order, what to do first, and where every legal paper lives. It prints as a binder for the fire safe.

Trustee emergency access

Name a sibling or a close friend. They see nothing until they ask, and you get a waiting period to say no.

Uploads are optional

A document can be just the details and where the original lives. Add a scan or a photo only when it helps.

Security

Built like a vault, because it is one.

This is the most sensitive information your family has. Here's exactly how we protect it.

Encrypted, file by file

Every upload is encrypted with AES-256 before it's stored. The details you type, like policy numbers, codes, and notes, are encrypted in our database too.

Passkeys, not just passwords

Anyone who can change a vault signs in with a passkey: Face ID, Touch ID, or a security key. Passkeys can't be phished, guessed, or reused.

No public links

Files never sit at a public web address. Every request is checked against your household's access, then streamed straight to you.

Nobody's watching

No ads, no trackers, no analytics scripts. Nobody at Life & Later browses vaults, and we never sell or share your information.

You decide who gets in

Your spouse sees what you see. Trustees see nothing until they ask, and you're emailed with time to say no.

Every change on the record

An activity log shows who added, changed, or removed what, and when, including every printed binder and new passkey.

Encrypted connections everywhere, verified email for every account, and encrypted nightly backups. Read our privacy promise

Questions

Can you see my documents?

Your documents and their details are encrypted, and nobody at Life & Later browses vaults. We never sell your information or use it for advertising. Read our privacy promise.

Do I have to upload my documents?

No. Uploading is completely optional. A document can be just the important details, like the policy number and the agent, plus where the original is kept. Add a scan or a photo whenever it's useful, or never.

How secure is it?

Files are encrypted with AES-256 before they're stored, the details you type are encrypted too, and editing a vault requires a passkey. Files are never at a public address, and there are no trackers or ads. See how we protect it.

Is this just for emergencies?

No. Most days it's where you look up the Wi-Fi password, the paint color, or the kids' pickup list. Being ready for a bad day comes along for free.

What if something happens to me?

Your spouse already has their own access. If neither of you can answer, because of a hospital stay or worse, the trustee you named can request emergency access. After the waiting period you chose, they see everything, read-only, starting with your Later guide.

What if I lose my phone?

Sign in on your new phone. If it uses the same Apple or Google account, your passkey is usually already there. If not, we email you a link, and after a 24-hour safety wait you're back in. Your spouse can let you in sooner. Nobody at Life & Later can let anyone in, on purpose.

What if I stop paying?

The vault becomes read-only for 90 days, so your family can still view, download, and print everything. We email you 30, 7, and 1 day before the end. Renew anytime before then and nothing is lost. After 90 days, the vault is permanently deleted, and nobody, including us, can recover it.

Is this a replacement for a will or an attorney?

No. Life & Later helps you organize and find what you have, and shows you what's missing. It doesn't create legal documents or give legal advice.

You already keep your family running. Now it keeps running, even when you can't.
